INFERTILITY
Introducing a safe, effective & economical therapy
Infertility affects one in six American couples. According to the Centers for Disease
Control and Prevention (CDC), approximately 15% of American women of childbearing age have received some form of infertility treatment. Many women seek help by taking fertility medications, undergoing surgery, or trying various Assisted Reproductive Therapies (ART), such as in-vitro fertilization (IVF) and intrauterine insemination (IUI).
ART treatments can be very expensive. IVF cost averages $10,000 to $15,000 Per attempt, but can be up to $30.000. This is not affordable by many couples. Although IVF/IUI success rate for fresh non-donor.
ART procedures has improved over the last few years, it is still at 32.8% for women under age 35, 26.7% for women ages 35-37, 18.5% for women age 38-40, and 10.1% for women ages 41-42. (Http:/apps.nccd.cdc.gov/art00/nation00.asp). As a result, it is not uncommon that many women still could not become pregnant even after multiple attempts of IVF/IUI. IVF/IUI procedures are often uncomfortable. In addition, the IVF/IUI patient is usually required to take various fertility drugs or undergo hormone treatments. Which may have negative side effects.
Ying Acupuncture Center offers an alternative solution for infertility that is safe, effective, and economical.
Treating Infertility with Acupuncture
Acupuncture, a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), has been used to treat infertility for over 2,000 years and is being used with growing popularity all over the world today. While Western medicine focuses primarily on the reproductive system, TCM views the person holistically as an integral mind/body organism. Acupuncture works on improving the woman’’s overall health. It increases blood perfusion and energy to the uterus and thickens the uterine lining. Acupuncture can help to regulate hormones and function of ovaries to produce more follicles and better quality eggs. It can also strengthen physical and mental conditions, and balance hormone levels so the woman can provide a more optimal environment for conceiving and carrying a baby, decreasing chances of miscarriage. We have used this holistic method to help many patients, including those who had failed IVF/IUI attempts to become pregnant naturally or by their next IVF/IUI attempt.
Benefits of Acupuncture
• Acupuncture is a safe and virtually painless form of infertility treatment. It can be effectively used alone without invasive procedures or fertility drugs, thus avoiding potentially negative side effects.
• Acupuncture is an effective treatment for infertility, even for women who had failed IVF/IUI attempts.
• Acupuncture offers an economical solution at a fraction of the cost of IVF/IUI procedures.
• Acupuncture can be used in conjunction with IVF/IUI and other Western medical treatments.
• Acupuncture can help increase the success rate of IVF. A German study has show that Acupuncture increases IVF success rate dramatically from 26% to 42%.
• acupuncture holistically improves the woman's general health for promote conception and pregnancy. This also decreases chances of miscarriage.
• Acupuncture can help to alleviate stress. Stress may be related to many unknown infertility cases. High levels of stress hormones are known to suppress fertility and reduce the chances of conception.
Acupuncture Treatment Length and Frequency
Because each infertility case is different, the treatment period required to improve the body’’s condition varies. Usually, it takes 2-3 months. It is recommended that the patient undergoes two Acupuncture sessions per week. For natural conception, treatment may continue until pregnancy. For IVF patients, treatment may continue until embryo transfer. During the course of the treatment, the woman can generally expect to experience mental relaxation, relief in menstruation difficulty, greater healthier and more energy.
If a woman decides to use Acupuncture treatment in conjunction with IVF/IUI, we recommended that she begins Acupuncture treatment as early as possible before the start of IVF/IUI procedures. We have helped many patients in their 40's became pregnant by undergoing IVF after Acupuncture treatment.
ALLERGIC RHINITIS
Spring and autumn–such beautiful seasons of the year to be spent outdoors. Go outside, go enjoy the flowers of spring blooming. Stroll through the fiery leaves of fall. Go outside. I dare you. Even the boldest may be faced with adversity in their mission to survive the allergy seasons. Perhaps you are one of these brave souls. And there are many others who do not find solace in the year-round sneezing, nose dripping, nose congesting, eye-watering, head aching overtures of rhinitis. Molds, hair, feathers, dust, mites, and other airborne substances are household menaces.
Allergic rhinitis, also known as hay fever, is an exaggerated response by the immune system to allergens inhaled. These allergens trigger histamine production that cause inflammation and fluid production in lining of the nose and sinuses. Usually, decongestant sprays, antihistamine drugs don’t always bring relief and their side effects may include drowsiness, nervousness, insomnia, and palpitation of the heart. Some antihistamines and allergy medicines may also produce allergic reactions of their own.
Holistic Treatment of Allergies by Acupuncture
According to traditional Chinese Medicine rhinitis starts from a weakness of lung qi resulting from imbalance of yin-yang and qi-blood in the body. This weakness renders the respiratory system vulnerable to invasion by evil qi from the environment. In the long tun, the evil qi spreads from the lung systems to other systems such as the spleen and kidney meridians. Acupuncture treats holistically, aiming to regulate the yin and the yang, and balance the blood and the qi to strengthen the lung qi and the wei (defending) qi. Balance in the other effected system (i,e. Spleen and kidney meridians) is also restored for chronic cases. The immune system is bolstered, and the body as a whole strenghens and becomes insusceptible or more resistant to allergies. Acupuncture’s holistic approach has proven to be very effective and safe.
You don’t have to suffer much longer. Acupuncture can treat your allergy problems effectively without medical side effects. Call for an appointment and be on your wayto eliminating allergies.
